Her Story:  New York transplant, Katie Romano Griffin has been a regular visitor to Southwest Florida since her grandparents settled here in the late 1970’s.  Her provincial Sicilian roots, and supportive family carefully steered  her towards integrative medicine at a very early age, while also encouraging her to pursue all of her passions with reckless abandon.  The result is a successful career in both Western and Holistic Medicine, her position as CEO of Publishing Company, several published articles nationally and regionally, and an emerging speaking career related to the up-and-coming release of her new book Expect. Expand. Recap. Reveal.

Her Philosophy: Forget Usher, Katie’s famous person crush is Ralph Waldo Emerson. She is a particular fan of Emerson’s quote, “It’s not the length of life, it’s the depth of life.” Katie feels that it’s crucial to savor and celebrate life’s precious moments and anchor our experience in that greatness so that it can be replicated and expanded upon over and over.

Her Hobbies:  Katie’s favorite pastime is spending time with her new husband (as of July 2011) and her beautiful sons, while also teaching the next generation why service to the community is essential to living a full life. Community service takes many forms and shapes in Katie’s life; and her activities range from fundraising, to cooking soup in the kitchen when called upon.  Her additional hobbies include: dancing, working out, organic gardening, reading and writing urban fiction, romance and self-help books.

Her Hope: To touch millions or more  through healing modalities, education, speaking and coaching, making the world better one heart, one mind, and one breathe at a time.
