Tui Na Massage

Tui Na is a type of massage or physical therapy. Although able to be effective by itselt, it is generally used with acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. This is considered an external technique and is able to be used on infants and children as well as older patients.

Tui Na

Translated as "push-grasp", this technique involves a series of special moves such as pressing, kneading, pushing and brushing. Combined, these movements work to remove blockages along channels, realign the muscles, stimulate qi flow, and promote general healing. Using medicinal herbs instead of oils helps promote the healing of the body. Tui Na is particularly useful because there are no side effects or complications.

Tui Na can be used to treat external disorders such as pain, muscle spasms, headaches, sports injuries, herniated discs, whiplash, and injury to the soft tissues. Internals diseases that can also benefit from Tui Na include hypertension, poor circulation, asthma, insomnia, and menstral cramps.
